medvr The operation simulator is an innovative project developed by the Crocoapps studio for the Ministry of Health. The main purpose of this simulator is to teach and take exams from students of specialized universities in laparoscopic operations. Thanks to virtual reality technology, the operation looks as plausible as possible. When passing the exam, students approach the mannequin with an incision in the abdominal cavity and, by controlling the sensors associated with our application, perform an operation that is simulated by virtual reality glasses. Such training gives future doctors a so-called full hand during operations.
Task
Design an operating room, 3D mannequin with abdominal organs and synchronize the actions of the user of the application with the actions of a real person using VR technology.
Deadline
6 months
Budget
$ 38,461
Technology and stuffing
The application was developed using the Unity 3D engine. Graphics - 3d Max + Maya. Virtual Reality - Oculus Rift. Terra transformation technology has been applied, which makes it possible to move organs, veins and ligaments, changing 3D objects in real time. There are anti-aliasing shaders and dynamic lighting.

Customer Review
I express my gratitude to the IT studio "Crocoapps" for the work on our simulator of laparoscopic operations. We were able to meet a rather limited budget and deadlines. The most pleasing fact is that the studio is interested in such projects not only financially, but also for the development of the IT industry in our country. This is not our first project developed by this team, hopefully not the last.
